Long Book Series That Are Worth It

Hello everyone. Today I decided to write about book series, specifically the long ones. I feel that long series are underappreciated, so I decided to give them some love.

The majority of what I read are series anymore. That’s not to say I don’t love a standalone but series are what I always come back to. Series allow for more character development, world building, and a larger storyline which is why I prefer them over standalones. This post is also for the people like me, who enjoy long series and feel they don’t get enough love.

This lists focuses on series that have more than 10 books. These are in no particular order either.

  1. Mercy Thompson by Patricia Briggs (12 books)
  2. Hell Squad by Anna Hackett (19 books)
  3. Galactic Gladiator series by Anna Hackett (11 books)
  4. Dragon Kin series by G.A. Aiken (9 books and 3 novellas)
  5. Argeneau series by Lynsay Sands (31 books)
  6. Dark Protector series by Rebecca Zanetti (12 books and multiple novellas)
  7. Black Dagger Brotherhood by J.R. Ward (19 books)
  8. Charley Davidson Series by Darynda Jones (13 books)
  9. Ghostwalker series by Christine Feehan (16 books)
  10. Dark Kings by Donna Grant (17 books and multiple novellas)
  11. Midnight Breed by Lara Adrian (16 books and multiple novellas)
  12. Black Knights Inc. by Julie Ann Walker (12 books)
  13. Nocturne Falls by Kristen Painter (11 books)
  14. Demonica by Larissa Ione (19 books and multiple novellas)

So as you can see I read a lot of long series. I tried to make sure there were multiple different genre’s here for anyone looking for a new series, but a lot of these are paranormal.

So what is a favorite series that you love?
