This audiobook is 10 lectures about science fiction and science. Mcdonald weaves real science with popular science fiction tv shows, movies, games, and books. Some pop culture she references: Star Wars, Star Trek, Futurama, Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, Bioshock, and many more.

These lectures were quite fascinating and full of information. I am not a big science person but she breaks down so it was easily understandable. I love how she used pop culture to discuss science. I do think this is an audiobook that needs a second listen to really absorb all the information in it but overall I really enjoyed it. I feel like I learned a lot as well.
